We woke around 7.00am but had to wait until 8.00am for breakfast to be served in the formal dinning room. The hotel interior made me feel like I was living in “Downton Abby”. We enjoyed a full Scottish breakfast (minus the black pudding which neither of us has a liking for) and headed upstairs to pack up the aftermath.

Penny had told us she would put up some “sneak peak” photos for us to share last night, but we were so tired we never go the chance to check - but we did this morning and WOW they were fabulous!

When we checked out we met Fiona, whom I had been corresponding with from Australia, and we had a lovely chat with her and shared our wedding photos with her.

Then we were on our way back home to Willie McLeod’s and see the boys. Alan Duncan, the local crofter we had over for Christmas Dinner, had left us a card for the wedding. He had planned to bring down one of this Highland Cows, but the New Year celebrations had caused him to forget and he felt bad. The card had a photo of Rubha Hunish, which is the Northern most point on the Island, and it actually his land.

I spent most of the day tidying up the “wedding” stuff that had been abandoned the previous day in our rush to get to the Faery Glen and we also popped back to Uig to get something for dinner and more toilet paper - as the cupboard was bare!

Alan, the local Crofter, dropped in with a bottle of whiskey to toast the New Year with us. It’s a whiskey from the Isle of Mull that he is very partial to.

It was a quite evening chatting with the boys who told us they need to head off in the morning due to weather closing in over the mountains as they need to get back to work at Nomad ADV in the Netherland next week.

They wanted to watch more of the Borne trilogy DVD’s but I was sleepy and left them to it.
