Bit of a lateish start as we had a late night last night, and a busy day in Portree today, Boots, Granary etc, so we didn’t end up with much time left for the “Skye Makers Workshop Taster Day” in Dunvegan by the time we drove out there, so we ended up just heading back to Willie McLeods.
When ever I need to some guidance that I'm on the right path or comfort and reassurance, I ask for signs from the Universe usually from my son, Kyle who died 4 years ago. Sometimes he sends me feathers - and I have already had some of these during this trip, but today I got three clear signs from him - a Dragonfly (how I know it's him close by), Moet Chandon that we used to share to celebrate and Royal Albert, a family heirloom. Funny how the Universe sends you what you need when you need it!

We weren’t back home very long when the logs for the fire were delivered next door to the Byre. We still had a couple of rows of logs left but as the weather was so bad (hail, gale force winds and rain) we thought we better get them inside to try to avoid them getting to wet and damp.
We get 180 logs for 75GBP so it took us quite a few trips with Lorraine’s wheelbarrow to bring them up the hill and stack them inside. The wind was so fierce it blew Vince’s beanie right off his head and he had to go chasing after it into the fields.
I did a bit of painting, and dinner was just the last of the left over Morocan Lamb Tagine. In Australia I usually make meals designed for 4 -6 and then freeze them as individual meals for another day. This means we don’t have to have it day after day, but as we only have a tiny fridge and an even smaller freezer here the best we can do is to do a weekly shop for meat and eat the same dinners a few nights in row - not ideal but okay!
After dinner we had a couple of drams, and I spoke with my daughter, Christina, in Australia on WhatsApp. Missing family is always hard when you are on the other side of the world, even if it’s the beautiful Isle of Skye.
Surprise! Surprise! We watched a dvd, The Other Boleyn Girl.
