We were up earlyish, around 6.30 - 7.00am and after breaky I caught up on my blog whilst Vince was busy watching drone videos. Once I’d posted my blog on the website we got ready to leave for Portree.

We had a drink at the Granary, then I checked with Boots but the line was so long, I left it. We had a look in the shops for a Fair Isle Jumper or Cardigan as I would like to get one if I saw a nice one, but nowhere had them in Skye - strange as I thought I had seen one somewhere.
I also stopped in at the Batik shop, but my Lindisfarne Teal Wallhanging I’d requested hasn’t come in yet - maybe the second week in March.

Then it was off to Sligachan for some photographs and practice of my new love, Intentional Camera Movement on the Cuillin and Glamaig.

We called into the AROS centre for a latish lunch - I had lentil soup and some onion rings, and a glass of wine, Vince had the Cajun Chicken.
We drove past the Antler’s Rest and had a look around, then it was off to the Co Op to pick up some icing sugar (I’m having a go at making meringues tonight) and a bottle of Amaretto and After 8 Mints for Sunday dinner at Ian and Gills, our artist and photography friends from Skeabost (we have been invited for a meal and to say over so we can all enjoy a drink.) Whilst at the Co Op we saw on the community notice board they are having a “Skye Makers Workshop Taster Day” in Dunvegan tomorrow where you can try out different things - I’m going to try weaving!
On the way home we stopped in at the Skye Blue Gallery and caught up with Lynne and Steven, they are such a nice couple, and I wanted to thank her for the inspiration and advice about the Intentional Camera Movement technique which is such fun.

Whilst we were at the Gallery, Dugald Ross (the owner of the Staffin Dinosaur Museum) dropped in and we had a chat with him about what we had witnessed at the Staffin Bay Slipway recently. He told us that the Portree Police (whom we had contacted) called him out to go check, but when he got there they had already gone. However, because we had given the police the vehicles license plates, they had been stopped and questioned and their specimens examined. It turned out they were Dutch students who claimed their lecturers at Uni had said it would be okay - aaahhhh - NO!
The Museum is closed for the winter, but he said he can open up by appointment, so we will email him to get a time and date that suits - yeah!
After we left the Gallery we headed home to Willie McLeod’s and Alan’s car was still there - we managed to catch up with him, and he told us another calf had been born today - so that’s two I’ve missed. He says the ground is still to boggy for me to get out there, but when the weather gets better I’ll be able to see them - but we did manage to at least get a look from a distance with my binoculars. We invited him in for a dram or two to celebrate.
Lorraine is away at the moment, but we were in contact and she will organise more wood for us on Tuesday - 180 logs for 75 GBP.

We had left over Morocan Lamb Tagine and cous cous for dinner and I made some meringue with cream and fruit for desert.
The evening was spent sorting out stuff and managing bills etc back home which don’t stop just because you are on holiday - same about that! LOL
The evening was spent watching the remainder of Chocolate.
