Vince was up early to get the lamb roast out of the fridge to come to room temperature at 6.00am He thought he would be kind and put a hot water bottle in bed with me to replace his body warmth but it just woke me up and left me feeling like a “puppy” - so I fit up as well - but grumpy!!!!

The only photo I took all day was with my iPhone of sunrise over Pointy Mountain, when Vince went out to Balmaqueen but came back empty handed.
I spent all morning catching up on my backlog of Blogs and FINALLY am fought up (apart from uploading and inserting the Vlogs - which Vince is still working on).
Sharing a single laptop is proving difficult at times and obviously slowing things down but we just have to make the best of it. It’s my old MacBook Pro from our round the world trip - so it’s a bit slow as well and sometimes things just freeze or crash adding to our frustrations - along with unsufficient storage space necessitating a merry dance between external hard drives - oh what fun!!!!!
So I had use of the laptop in the morning whilst Vince cooked a roast for lunch - our critter friend Alan is coming - and he will have it this afternoon! Swopsies!
Around 12.00pm Vince sent me up the hill to look for Alan and let him know we were ready to dish up - after the enveloping warmth of our fire the cold and wind hit with a vengeance despite the short distance. I had hoped to just pop out without my jacket (which was hanging at the back door) but as I opened the inside front door entering the enclosed port had where we take off our dirty boots, it was already chilly. As I opened the outside front door and was immediately hit by the Artic blast I knew my initial plans were severely flawed and I hastily grabbed Vinces jacket hanging in the front porch. I must have looked a right sight as it came almost to my shins and was about 10 sizes to large - F$@k fashion comfort wins! At least I was warm and protected as I set off on my mission to find Alan.
His dogs found me first, 6 on the 12 circling me wagging their tails and barking heralding my arrival for all to hear! Thankfully Darky ( an old boy whose not been well and Alan thought I might not see again) was among them and I gave him a big pat!
It wasn’t long before we were all sitting down to a sumptuous roast lunch and dessert with leftovers for the dogs and chickens!
We enjoyed a dram of the Whiskey we bought from Rankins the other day that Alan likes and we chatted and laughed like we’d known each other all our lives.
But it was soon back to work for Alan who had to inject his neighbours sheep or goats - he wasn’t sure! LOL
After cleaning up the kitchen Vince took over with his turn with the computer and I settled down for a nap!
I noticed a few days ago that my right sinus was hurting (I’ve had lots of problems with it and had surgery last year) and I was hoping it would get better on its own but no such luck. After my nap I woke up with even more pain - my ear and jaw were now agony so it will have to off to the Dr in Portree tomorrow in hope of an appointment.
Drugged up on pain killers it was a slow evening for me and once Vince finished on the computer I started the godforsaken task of trying to upload them with slow internet. I decided to try and let it run overnight and went to bed.
